Tick, tick, tick.........

So, one more full week to go.  It's all action on the packing front.  You will be pleased to know I found the  elusive 'striped-woollen-hat-from-the-last-kathmandu-sale' (bottom of one of the plastic storage boxes under the bed in case you are wondering).  In the hunt I found more socks than I knew I had, why have I been buying so many pairs of socks??.  Its a mystery.  And today was spent shopping for essentials  - got a little distracted by the accessories sale 2 for $20 at Just Jeans (I just know I will need that hair band and the very cool coloured bracelets in Guernsey).  Got back on track by going to the CURRENT Kathmandu sale with the purchase of a water bottle for the plane, travel alarm clock and hand wipes (2 for $1 - score!).  Ok a little off track but made up for it by finding some half price walking boots and managed to stop myself buying more socks - so tempting, I am obviously a secret sock-aholic, wonder what the 12 'steps' are for dealing with that (yes that pun was intentional).

Been keeping an eye on the temperatures in Guernsey - lets just say those socks will be very much needed.  Found this very helpful website so you can keep up with the weather too.
Just how cold is it in Guernsey? This cold....

Good thing one of my lists is titled 'things to do with Evie inside the house' is all I can say.  Bought a very handy and informative book today so I can tick off my 'fairy-stuff' item on that list - 'Fairy things to make and do WITH STICKERS'  (and for members of the sisterhood reading this it also came 'with wings').  Can't wait to make the fairy pop-up card on page 16 and the fairy tiara on page 27.  Will post some pictures of our creations for your delight and wonderment.

Right, time to think about sorting out the sock situation - not sure whether they should be chosen by colour, thickness or condition, I tending towards thickness I think.
